Agate Beach & Campground

Agate Beach campground is located in and operated by Stanton Township, on the shores of Lake Superior near Toivola, Michigan.

Agate Beach park is open all year around but is not plowed in the winter. The garbage cans are put out in May and removed in October. Visitors that are there when no garbage cans are out, will need to take their garbage with them when they leave.

Campground

PavillionThis campground has 25 rustic campsites, which are available on a first come first, served basis. No reservations are accepted. Some sites will accommodate larger campers. There are no power hookups. For generator use, quiet hours are from 10pm-7am. Water is available by a hand pump. There are (3) three pit toilets (outhouses) on site. Overnight stays are $20/per night, payment is due at the time of set-up. To register, at arrival there is a “mailbox” with registration envelopes. When a site is selected, fill out the envelope, place your payment in it and deposit it into the red pay pipe. If you are visiting for the day donations are welcomed and accepted for the maintenance of the park. You can use the same registration envelope but write "donation" on it. Please clean up after yourself and your dog(s) to keep the park an enjoyable place to visit. For further information you can call 906-288-3014 and leave a message. These phone messages get reviewed periodically. This site is open year round but is not plowed in the winter. Trash cans are available starting in May and are removed in October. During the months trash cans are not available, visitors are asked to take any trash with them for proper disposal.
