North Canal Boat Launch

The North Canal Boat Launch is a gravel access road off the Houghton Canal Road.

Boat Launch Information

This boat launch is located within a small cove on the Keweenaw Waterway, a little over one mile by road from the North Canal Park, and about 1.3 miles from the mouth of the North Entry into Lake Superior. The boat launch is located within a remote, forested area of land bordering the Keweenaw Waterway (also called Portage Canal). This site provides relatively close access to Lake Superior and the northern section of the Keweenaw Waterway for recreational boating and fishing. Facilities at the boat launch include a gravel entrance road, parking lot, concrete ramp and two temporary docks, and a portable toilet.
